CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County's Fugitive of the Week for the week of January February 6, 2012.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Wayne Clifton, age 54, of E. Walnut Street, Clearfield, Pennsylvania.

Shaw stated that Clifton is wanted for failure to appear at Criminal Call on February 2, 2012.

On March 15, 2011, Trooper Terry Jordan of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Clifton with: 1) Theft By Unlawful Taking or Disposition, F3, 8 Counts; 2) Theft By Deception, F3, 8 Counts; 3) Theft By Unlawful Taking or Disposition, M1, 73 Counts; 4) Theft By Deception, M1, 73 Counts; 5) Theft By Unlawful Taking or Disposition, M2, 55 Counts; 6) Theft By Deception, M2, 55 Counts; 7) Theft By Unlawful Taking or Disposition, M3, 7 Counts; and 8) Theft By Deception, M3, 7 Counts.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Trooper Jordan states that in January 2011, the Pennsylvania State Police received a report from the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging regarding their concern that an elderly woman was the victim of an ongoing theft. Trooper Jordan interviewed the victim and found that Clifton had obtained a Power of Attorney for the victim, and that Clifton was to be responsible for paying all of the victim's bills. Upon investigation, it was found that for over a two year period of time Clifton had improperly taken over $50,000.00 from the victim.

Robert McCracken
CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County's Fugitive of the Week for the week of January 30, 2012.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Robert Lewis McCracken, age 46, of Altoona, Pennsylvania.

Shaw stated that McCracken is wanted for failure to appear at Jury Selection on August 19, 2004.

On May 16, 2003, Trooper Warren Rhyner of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging McCracken with:1) Recklessly Endangering Another Person, M2, 2) Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Controlled Substance, M2; 3) Harassment, S; and 4) Driving While Operating Privileges Suspended or Revoked, S.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Trooper Rhyner states that on May 15, 2003, the Pennsylvania State Police responded to a the scene of a domestic incident in Beccaria Township.  Upon investigation it was found that McCracken had been following the victim while she was driving on Gill Hollow Road, and that McCracken had used his vehicle to ram into the victim's vehicle. McCracken then attempted to break the driver's side window and puncture the tires of the victim's vehicle with a screwdriver. At the scene, Trooper Rhyner made contact with McCracken and detected signs of  impairment. McCracken was transported to the Clearfield Hospital for blood testing.

CAPTURED

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County's Fugitive of the Week for the week of January 23, 2012.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Robert Joseph Lutz, age 25, of Sipes Lane, Clearfield, Pennsylvania.

Shaw stated that Lutz is wanted for failure to appear at a Preliminary Hearing on January 18, 2012.

On December 28, 2011, Trooper Jared Wolff of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Lutz with:1) Simple Assault, M2, and 2) Harassment, (S).

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Trooper Wolff states that on December 11, 2011, the Pennsylvania State Police responded to a residence located on Walton Street in Philipsburg for the report of an alleged assault.  Upon arrival at the scene the victim reported that Lutz had grabbed her by the throat, threw her to the sidewalk, and kicked her in the face.  Trooper Wolff observed deep red marks on the victim’s neck as well as marks on victim’s left cheek.

CAPTURED

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County's Fugitive of the Week for the week of January 3, 2012.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Michael Carter, age 38, of Post Office Road, Mineral Springs, Pennsylvania.

Shaw stated that Carter is wanted for failure to appear at a Preliminary Hearing on December 7, 2011.

On October 20, 2011, the Clearfield Borough Police Department, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Carter with:1) Theft By Unlawful Taking or Disposition, M1; and 2) Receiving Stolen Property, M1.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Patrolman Dixon states that in October 2011 the Clearfield Borough Police Department began an investigation into the theft of a chainsaw from a residence on Ogden Avenue in Clearfield Borough. Upon investigation it was found that Carter had unlawfully taken the victim's chainsaw which was valued at approximately $400.00.

CAPTURED

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County's Fugitive of the Week for the week of November 21, 2011.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Cory Eminhizer, age 30, of Grassflat Avenue, Grassflat, Pennsylvania.

Shaw stated that Eminhizer is wanted for failure to appear at Criminal Call on November 17, 2011.

On May 26, 2011, Trooper Robert Straw of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Eminhizer with:1) Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Controlled Substance, M; 2) Registration and Certificate of Title Required, S; 3) Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked, S; 4) Required Financial Responsibility, S; 5) Driving On Roadways Laned for Traffic, S; and 6) Operation of Vehicle Without Official Certificate of Inspection, S.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Trooper Straw states that on May 19, 2011, the Pennsylvania State Police responded to the scene of a one vehicle accident on Main Street in Cooper Township. Upon making contact with the driver of the vehicle, Straw detected signs of impairment and requested that Eminhizer perform field sobriety tests.  After administering the field sobriety tests, Eminhizer was transported for blood alcohol testing.
