Shaw Identified the Fugitive as Karen L. Frantz, age 36, of Ohio Street, Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania.
Frantz was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on March 22, 2010.
Shaw stated that Frantz was taken into custody on march 30, 2010, by officers from the West Virginia State Police. Frantz is currently housed in the West Virginia Northern Regional Jail awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
Frantz is facing charges in Clearfield County of: 1) Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Heroin, F; and 2) Possession of a Controlled Substance, Heroin, M. The charges relate to an incident where Frantz sold heroin to an undercover police officer. Frantz was charged on October 28, 2005, in two separate Criminal Complaints filed by the State Police for selling heroin to undercover officers.
Shaw reported anonymous tips and phone calls enabled law enforcement to Locate and arrest Frantz.
